A good friend of mine is in this production in Madison, WI.  I will report in after I go, but I trust it will be worth the ticket

UPDATE:  The Badger Herald Review:
“Emotions run high during “The Normal Heart,” from the opening line to the final fading spot light.”

From the Stage Q website:
A searing drama about public and private indifference to the AIDS plague and one man’s lonely fight to awaken the world to the crisis. Produced to acclaim in New York, London and Los Angeles, The Normal Heart follows Ned Weeks, a gay activist enraged at the indifference of public officials and the gay community. While trying to save the world from itself, he confronts the personal toll of AIDS as his friends start dying while still refusing to believe the plague is real. The Normal Heart blends horror of this disease with humor of strong-willed people as they fight for the world to hear the truth.
